This is perfect timing, as we just had to put our dear cat down four days ago. It’s a wonderful poem I’ve never heard. I can’t wait to share this with my kids, and do some fun poetry and language discussions! 🙏🏻 Thank you!
I watched a documentary about the cats of Istanbul (title is "Kedi"). In it, someone says that "dogs think humans are God. Cats are aware of the existence of God and know that humans are just middlemen".
Yay for this! I wonder if the cat was allowed to keep Christopher company in the asylum.
I am in Newfoundland on what so far has been a wonderful vacation. But I am missing my two felines and feeling guilty that they have only the nice cat sitter lady to visit them
Geoffrey the Cat features prominently in Benjamin Britten's cantata, "Rejoice in the Lamb." It's a wonderful albeit odd piece of music. In other words, Briten put this poem to music!

Felines are … iconoclasts?
Smart is one of my favorites, especially this piece!
